Perth (W.A.)

After spending some of my time on the east coast of Australia i decided to switch direction and travel to the west coast of Perth, now Perth has so much to offer as a city! as well as having superb weather (even though it was winter, it does get cold at night but being British i never felt it that much compare to these soft Australians lol) Perth is home to wineries, pristine beaches, red earth bush, reefs and so on, as well as a bounty of historical, natural and unusual attractions, but my great surprise was to walk down to the bay of Swan river only to see two dolphins swimming yards away from me! (talk about saving money eh!) Western Australia is described as a "Real Adventure" and that sums up my traveling folks a REAL ADVENTURE! so do it do it now! it will be good times i promise you!!!!

p.s. A big THANKS to Stu and Lorna for putting me up and showing me around this diverse beautiful city!

Outback Mountain Biking

Mountain biking in the bush is an awesome time, (like many times i have experienced on my travels), but to see kangaroos hoping past me and nearly running over tiger snakes you realise that you are truly amongst the wild!, but my biggest fear was not the snakes, spiders or even skippy lol but nearly stacking my bike and going over a cliff edge!! and i would of if it wasn't for a soft green bush that stop me from skydiving to the ground with the bike on my back ha , i hung on to this bush and gave it a big hug after i realised how close i was to a nasty drop!! (PHEW!) tis was a funny moment though!, Anyhow a big thanks goes to Aron and Groose for showing me the way lol.

Fraser Island

Ok folks here i am in Fraser Island! The Aboriginals best summed up this place and its pure beauty when they named it K'gari which means Paradise! and it sure is that!! The Aboriginal tribes lived on this island for 5500 years! Fraser Island was later discovered by guess who...............? none other than Captain Cook and eventually was named after Eliza Fraser who was shipwrecked in 1836!. it was sheer bliss for me to Kayak on this pristine clear water in K'gari! Its a truly majestic and mystical island with an abundant of wildlife (watch out for the dingos!) Unforgettable!!! Do it do it now folks!!!!!

Hervey Bay

Well here is Hervey Bay, a small fishing town 289km north of Brisbane it is dubbed the whale watching capital of the world! it reminded me of a place called Ayia Napa in Cyprus which was the most idyllic little fishing village i will ever see and will ever see, before they turned it into a small Ibiza and spoilt that forever, so take note Hervey! None the less its another resort that has charm and beauty so lets go fishing folks!

Noosa

Noosa is the most northern part of the Sunshine coast, unlike the Gold Coast it has more of a natural beauty to the place with no high rise buildings and overpopulated areas, just a relaxed feel to the town resort with people who have plenty of money methinks! they describe there dining and shopping as world class so i rest my case! money talks eh?, but a very beautiful area. It is important they keep it this way though as its a very special place! (environmental wise) Noosa is home to an incredible eight endangered species including the ground parrot and the Koala. Conservation is the key folks!

Crocs Rule Folks!!

Check out these littler rippers!!

Australian Wildlife!

Ok guys & gals on my way to Noosa i decided to go and meet some Australian wildlife, as Steve Irwin would say "Crikey!" (he is a true legend of the world) Australian Zoo is a great achievement for him and his family and you sure will have a ripper of a time when your there!! Conservation was his middle name folks!

Brisbane

Now Brisbane is meant to be the most livable city in Australia and first impression i could see why, it has a relaxed feel to the place with its unique district river as its central focus, combining with a man made beach and swimming lagoon in the heart of the city! They call Brisbane the City Of Sun Days and that is how the city feels like "Sundays" A relaxed subtropical lifestyle.

Gold Coast/Surfer Paradise

Ok after one of the most memorable times traveling around NZ in a camper van it was time for me to leave Delphine and go to the Gold Coast for a holiday! Now the Gold Coast is a draw card for holidaymakers and travelers alike i.e. me as its home to more than 70 kilometers of coastline (42 miles) with sunshine all year round! The Gold Coast has attractions like the Q1 building which is the worlds tallest residential tower with the worlds fastest elevator! ( its quick let me tell you!) also the Gold Coast is regarded as theme park capital of Australia (Dreamworld, Sea World, Water World Etc) It has a cosmopolitan feel to the place and is a stylish version of Majorca as well as being a party town for sure!!! talking of style check out my hire car! Now thats gold folks!! Next stop Brisbane!

The Mighty Kauri Trees

Ok Guys & Girls here i am in Waipoua forest standing in awe next to a tree!, (pic 1 & 2) now this tree is called Te Matua Ngahere (Father of the Forest) The forest once covered most of the northern part of New Zealand, The Father of the Forest has been growing for more than 2000 years!! and it has stood the test of time, its been here even before the birth of Jesus Christ.....now this got me thinking suppose Jesus is like this tree who has also stood the test of time for more than 2000 years and who is just as big and strong as this mighty tree, if we follow in his footsteps would we not be as big and strong as this tree and therefore also stand the test of time as well?, there's one for you believers and non believers to think about this parable! i must of had a spiritual moment when i was there methinks, awesome power of nature though (to stand in awe is to admire the awesome power of nature) to think this tree has come from a small seed!, you would need more than a chainsaw to bring this tree down eh! Almighty folks.

The Ninety Mile Beach

Ok chaps after experiencing the wonders of two seas meeting and the massive sand dunes we were then on our way to visit the worlds mightiest trees - THE KAURI TREES!, to get there we got to drive along the famous ninety mile beach, over sand unsealed roads and quicksand streams, it just seems to go on for ever!, the solitude it gives you racing along the beach next to the endless sea is a great feeling, nothing quite like it eh!, do it do it now folks!
